Training Consultant
In this exciting role, the chosen candidate will Instruct and facilitate in-person and webcast training sessions on our web based talent management system to a wide range of internal employees and partners, from end user to executive level, with specific abilities to:
• Explain concepts in an easily understandable manner
• Draw out and engage participants by encouraging. asking and responding to questions
• Create an atmosphere conducive to learning
• To relate concepts to “real life” situations
Here, you’ll have the opportunity to quickly become an expert on the Cornerstone talent management system and the business processes that it supports.
Responsibilities:
• Organization and delivery of New Hire Orientations conducted in Santa Monica, CA
• Oversee employee and partner system certifications
• Maintenance of internal learning and talent management system
• Analyze internal employee training needs and make recommendations for appropriate and effective learning activities to meet corporate, department and individual goals
• Assist in preparation of training course leaders material, participant material, reference materials, job aids, and handouts
• Evaluate and monitor effectiveness of training activities and make appropriate improvements
• Interface with our partners in consultative manner/create and maintain robust partner relationships
• Keep up to date on training and development research; learning theory, new training methods and techniques
Job Requirements
• B.S./B.A Degree or equivalent job experience
• Up to 50% Travel Required
Additional Requirements:
• 2-5 years experience in system related course delivery
• Demonstrate strong course delivery skills and excellent verbal, written and presentation/communication skills
• Thorough working knowledge of adult learning concepts
• Experience facilitating using virtual classroom tools and techniques
• Experience delivering to an international audience
• Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong time management and prioritization skills
• Excellent problem solving/critical thinking skills
• Previous experience with learning and performance management system a plus
• Instructional Design Experience a plus
