Adam Miller

President and CEO

Adam Miller is the President and CEO of Cornerstone OnDemand. Since he founded the company in 1999, Miller has led Cornerstone through 10 consecutive years of growth, transforming it into one of the world’s leading Software-as-a-Service companies with over 3.2 million subscribers globally. Cornerstone has recently been recognized as one of the nation’s fastest growing companies by Deloitte, Inc and the LA Business Journal.

 

In addition to strategy, sales and operations, Miller has led the Cornerstone’s product development efforts since inception. His vision helped create the first truly integrated talent management solution in the market, which today earns top ratings from Gartner for learning and performance management systems, as well as industry innovation awards. He has written and spoken extensively about talent management and on demand software. He is a contributing author to ASTD’s recently published book Talent Management - Strategies for Success.

 

Miller’s focus on client success and product excellence has earned the company the top retention rate in the industry and validation as the leader in Bersin & Associates 2009 client satisfaction survey. In 2009, Miller was named the Southern California Technology Association’s CEO of the Year.

 

Miller blends his background in finance, business, technology and law to guide Cornerstone OnDemand. Prior to founding Cornerstone, Miller served time as a lawyer and investment banker. He worked in corporate finance with Schroders (now Citi Financial) and an affiliate of Montgomery Securities (now Bank of America), supporting clients with private equity and public financing, as well as M&A advisory. Previously, he worked with the Card Group in Los Angeles.

 

Miller has a JD from the UCLA School of Law, an MBA from the Anderson School of Business, a BS from the Wharton School and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania. He earned a CPA and Series 7 certifications. He co-authored two books, Business Capital for Women (Macmillan, 1996) and Managing Your Inheritance (Random House, 1995). But it was his 2 year trip alone around the world (6 continents) that taught him how to build a global business.

 

Miller is the Chairman of the Cornerstone OnDemand Foundation, which leverages Cornerstone’s expertise, solutions and partner ecosystem to help empower communities. With a focus on education, workforce development and disaster relief, the Foundation has developed strategic partnerships with Teach for America, the New Teacher Project, Junior Achievement, Oxfam, Save the Children, the Points of Light Foundation, the Taproot Foundation and many other leading non-profits. Miller also served as the President of IKAR. He remains on the IKAR board and is actively involved with YPO and ABL.

 

Miller lives in Los Angeles with his wife Staci and their 3 children, Hayden, Madison and Griffin.

 

Vincent Belliveau

General Manager of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA)

Vincent Belliveau is Cornerstone OnDemand’s General Manager of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).  He is responsible for overseeing all of Cornerstone’s European operations including sales and marketing, implementation, services and support. Prior to joining Cornerstone OnDemand, Belliveau served as the North East Europe Director of IBM’s Master Data Management (MDM) and Information Integration Solutions. He was responsible for successfully integrating and growing several key acquisitions in IBM’s portfolio, including Trigo, DWL, SRD, LAS and Ascential, structuring and expanding the organization, and driving the local go-to-market strategy and execution.  Previously, Belliveau served as IBM’s EMEA Sales Director for WebSphere Product Center Software (formerly known as Trigo), where he grew the client base, developed key routes to markets and increased license sales.  Vincent was the Sales Director at Trigo prior to being acquired by IBM. Belliveau demonstrated entrepreneurship when he launched and managed an agency for Fonorola, a Canadian telecommunications service provider.  Sprint Canada ultimately acquired the customer base of his agency. Belliveau honed his management consulting and business analysis skills while at McKinsey & Company. Vincent received his Commerce Baccalaureate (B.Com) from McGill University, where he majored in accounting and finance.  He is fluent in English, French and Spanish.  Vincent currently resides in Paris, France with his family.

 

Dave Carter

Vice President of Sales

As Vice President of Sales for Cornerstone OnDemand, Dave Carter leads all sales and pre-sales activities making sure that Cornerstone’s solutions align with client objectives and deliver significant value. Prior to joining Cornerstone OnDemand, Carter led high-performing sales teams for HR services and software companies including Accenture, Ceridian and ProBusiness (an HR services company later acquired by ADP). At ProBusiness he led his team through four consecutive years of triple-digit growth as the company grew from $10M to $150M in recurring revenue and completed a successful IPO. While at Ceridian, he was responsible for building a successful SMB sales strategy on a Software-as-a-Service platform, ultimately leading over 150 inside and outside sales reps, who were responsible for establishing more than a 1,000 new client relationships. Most recently he led the sales efforts for Accenture’s Human Resource Outsourcing practice focused on mid-market companies with 5,000-25,000 employees. At Cornerstone OnDemand, Carter is responsible for leading three separate sales teams focused on selling our integrated talent management solutions to Enterprise, Corporate and SMB clients.

 

Mark Goldin

Chief Technology Officer

As Chief Technology Officer for Cornerstone OnDemand, Mark Goldin is responsible for building and directing the company’s technology strategy, which will allow the organization to scale effectively and efficiently in the midst of rapid growth. In this role, Goldin oversees application architecture, development, quality assurance and technology operations while leading a world-class team of engineers to assure Cornerstone’s continued excellence in providing innovative and feature-rich talent management software.  Goldin joins the Cornerstone team with more than 15 years of experience as a Chief Technology Officer leading high growth companies to market leadership positions through technology-driven strategies. Prior to joining Cornerstone, Goldin was the Chief Operations and Technology Officer at Green Dot Corporation where he oversaw application development, IT infrastructure, supply chain and logistics, and call center operations with a team that helped grow valuation by greater than a factor of 10 in just three years. Prior to this, Goldin served as Senior Vice President and CTO at Thomson Elite where he conceived, founded and ran Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) pioneer Elite.com and helped lead the company to market dominance. Goldin also held positions as CTO at DestinationRx and Managing Director at Trace Alexander Ltd.

 

Kirsten Maas Helvey

Vice President of Consulting Services

Kirsten Maas Helvey has an extensive background in the implementation of hosted and internal enterprise software applications. Helvey is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the client experience with Cornerstone OnDemand. She provides project management experience as well as process improvement expertise, and is responsible for effectively implementing and integrating Cornerstone OnDemand’s Talent Management Suite using best-of-breed methodology developed from client best practices. Helvey has used her expertise to develop and grow Cornerstone’s global Consulting Services organization. Helvey came to Cornerstone OnDemand from PricewaterhouseCoopers and IBM Business Consulting Services where she was a member of the Supply Chain Operations Strategy Group. She has extensive experience providing operational expertise to Fortune 500 companies for large-scale, complex, re-engineering and cost reduction initiatives using enabling technologies. Helvey holds a BA in English Literature from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. She is a member of Women in Technology International (WITI) and the American Business Women's Association (ABWA).

 

David Somers

Vice President of Alliances and Strategy

As Vice President of Alliances and Strategy for Cornerstone OnDemand, David Somers is responsible for developing and driving the Company’s growth and reach through Cornerstone’s alliance partner ecosystem.  Most recently, Somers served as the Company’s Senior Director of Strategy and Research, during which he was responsible for supporting Cornerstone’s strategic initiatives.  This included the development of capabilities in the areas of business case and ROI assessment, benchmarking, business process design, and analytics.  Prior to this role, Somers served as Senior Director, Consulting Services for Cornerstone, during which he was responsible for developing the company’s best-of-breed implementation and integration methodologies.  Somers has also worked in business and strategy consulting roles for organizations such as Ariba, The Walt Disney Company and IBM (formerly PWC Consulting).  He holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, as well as a BS in Kinesiology from Indiana University.

 

Frank Ricciardi

Vice President of Global Account Services

Frank Ricciardi comes to Cornerstone OnDemand with over 15 years of business consulting and industry-related account management experience. As a former Regional Vice President & Senior Principal at Convergys Corporation (formerly DigitalThink, Inc.), Ricciardi expanded the business by more than $27 million which included the largest professional services deal in the company's history. In addition, Ricciardi managed over $70 million in strategic customer relationships, including the single largest contract in industry history. Finally, Ricciardi led the organizational design process, which transformed DigitalThink into an industry-leading professional services organization. Ricciardi began his career in high technology with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), as a business integration consultant. During his tenure, Ricciardi honed his client relationship management skills and led strategic planning, organizational effectiveness and business process design engagements to drive significant value through his clients' organizations. Ricciardi brings deep business and industry experiences to Cornerstone OnDemand as the Vice President of Global Account Services. Ricciardi developed and implemented a new Global Account Services program at Cornerstone OnDemand, which includes Account Management, Customer Care and Customer Community functions, intended to provide Cornerstone clients with world-class customer service. Ricciardi’s primary objective is the growth of the customer portfolio, Cornerstone OnDemand's most valued asset, through a laser-focus on customer satisfaction and consultative solution selling. Ricciardi holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is also a contributing member of the Strategic Account Management Association.

 

Julie Norquist Roy

Vice President of Marketing

Julie Norquist Roy is responsible for Cornerstone OnDemand’s global marketing strategy including corporate communications, product marketing and field marketing. Norquist Roy came to Cornerstone with over fifteen years of enterprise software and media experience, working with fast-growth organizations in both Europe and North America.  Prior to joining Cornerstone, Norquist Roy held the role of Vice President of Marketing, EMEA for InStranet, Inc., a knowledge management software solution for customer service centers (acquired by Salesforce.com in August 2008).  During her tenure at InStranet, Norquist Roy built the marketing and business development organization from the ground up, strengthening the company brand and market perception and driving expansion into European and North American markets.  Also, while at InStranet, Norquist Roy oversaw strategic relationships with technology partners IBM and Oracle, as well as regional systems integrators and resellers.  Prior to InStranet, Norquist Roy held marketing management roles with leading media and communications organizations, including ABC News, CastleRock Entertainment and McCann Erickson.  She has led various marketing and operations consulting engagements, for organizations such as BroadVision and Woolwich Plc.  Norquist Roy is a graduate of U.C. Berkeley and holds an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. 

 

Steven Seymour

Vice President of Strategic Accounts

As co-founder and Vice President of Strategic Accounts, Seymour has developed successful client relationships with an impressive number of Fortune 500 organizations. With an early emphasis on the financial service community, Seymour has developed strong, longstanding client partnerships with some of the largest companies in the financial industry. Smith Barney, Washington Mutual, Aon and NYSE are among the marquee names that Seymour has brought into the Cornerstone OnDemand client family. Additionally, he has forged critical strategic partnerships with a number of the top international consulting companies resulting in increased Cornerstone OnDemand business and exposure. Seymour continues to leverage Cornerstone OnDemand's growing pool of clients, consulting partners and strategic relationships to further increase the company's footprint across multiple business verticals. Since the company's inception, Seymour has worked with content and e-Learning providers to garner the feedback necessary to enhance client satisfaction. Providing these and other partners with a better understanding of emerging technology and client needs, Cornerstone OnDemand and its products and services remain at the cutting edge of this swiftly evolving industry. Prior to Cornerstone OnDemand, Seymour had an 8-year stint in the institutional banking industry. During this time, Seymour was a VP of the Schroder's (now Citigroup) High Net Worth group where he covered a blend of institutional accounts, pension funds and high net worth individual portfolios. Steven holds a BS in Economics and a BA in English from the University of California, Los Angeles.

 

Perry Wallack

Chief Financial Officer

Perry Wallack, co-founder and CFO, is responsible for Cornerstone OnDemand's day-to-day operations and all accounting, tax and financial functions, systems and processes. With over 17 years experience in finance, accounting and operations, Wallack brings a wealth of experience in strategic financial planning, taxation, auditing and accounting for both public and private companies. Wallack has successfully raised private equity and commercial bank financing since November 1999. Prior to forming Cornerstone OnDemand with Miller and Seymour, Wallack was a Business Manager with Grant, Tani, Barish and Altman, a leading business management boutique firm In Beverly Hills, CA. Here, Wallack managed tax engagements as well as client portfolios and was responsible for the day-to-day operations for clients and their business interests. Wallack spent the majority of his early career with Ernst & Young LLP where he was responsible for managing a tax and audit staff, engagement budgets, and issuing financial statements for key clients such as American International Group (AIG) and Bank of America. During his tenure at Ernst & Young, Wallack was responsible for the implementation of several enhancements to critical business processes within the Business Management division. Perry holds a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and is a CPA (Inactive). Wallack lives in Los Angeles with his wife Jana and their children, Sophie and Francie.
