Cornerstone OnDemand Foundation Teams with Four Leading Nonprofits to Identify Technology Grant Candidates

SANTA MONICA, Calif., – May 21, 2015 – The Cornerstone OnDemand Foundation, a nonprofit organization formed by talent management software provider Cornerstone OnDemand (NASDAQ:CSOD), today announced it has teamed with four organizations – AchieveMission, EdFuel, InsideNGO and Koya Leadership Partners – to identify nonprofit candidates that have the human capital management processes in place to benefit from the Foundation’s Strategic Partnership program.

Through the Foundation’s Strategic Partnership program, Cornerstone donates its talent management software and services to a select number of nonprofits around the world annually, helping these organizations to invest in, train and manage their employees, build capacity, and achieve their missions.

Teaming with these four organizations enables the Foundation to identify and prioritize organizations with the processes and resources in place to take advantage of the technology and services grant. The Foundation also refers promising nonprofits to partners that can better position their organizations to take advantage of the software.

To be considered for the Strategic Partnership program, organizations must work in one of the Foundation’s three areas of focus – education, workforce development or disaster relief.

Supporting Program Success at GreatSchools

GreatSchools, the nation’s leading online source of school information and learning resources for families, recognized a need for stronger talent and organizational capabilities as the nonprofit sought to maintain its culture and ensure successful expansion of program offerings amid rapid growth. The nonprofit turned to Foundation referral partner AchieveMission and its Talent Initiative program for consulting support. Together, GreatSchools and the AchieveMission team developed a comprehensive talent management plan, and GreatSchools moved quickly to implement performance management and coaching practices that aligned employee and organizational goals, and provided staff with the continuous feedback each needed to achieve success.

With the support of AchieveMission, GreatSchools applied to and was accepted into the Cornerstone OnDemand Foundation’s Strategic Partnership program and is now using Cornerstone Performance at no cost to take its performance management efforts even further. Using the software, GreatSchools is able to track performance and goal progress, identify and develop high-potential employees and ensure employees feel connected to GreatSchools’ mission throughout expansion. Building on that success, GreatSchools is now working with AchieveMission to strengthen other areas of its approach to talent management, with a plan to leverage additional components of Cornerstone’s technology to facilitate the use of competencies, and to improve staff learning and development.
