Cornerstone honored as one of the best large companies to work for by Los Angeles Business Journal
SANTA MONICA, Calif., August 28, 2014 – Cornerstone OnDemand (NASDAQ: CSOD), a global leader in cloud-based talent management software solutions, has been named one of the Best Places to Work in Los Angeles in the eighth annual program by Los Angeles Business Journal and Best Companies Group, ranking sixteenth on the list of large companies.
The Best Places to Work in Los Angeles program identifies 100 companies across Los Angeles that are benefiting the county's economy, workforce and businesses. Cornerstone is one of the few companies headquartered in Los Angeles to be recognized and is also one of the top-rated technology companies on the list.
The awards rely in part on a survey, which asks employees to rate their satisfaction in areas like company culture, work-life balance, senior management, career opportunities, and compensation and benefits. Company programs highlighted most frequently in the Cornerstone survey included the company’s unlimited vacation policy, daily staff breakfasts, Development Days and flexible work schedules.
Cornerstone was also named a 2014 Best Place to Work in the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards, ranking fourth on the list of medium-sized companies.
Comments on the News
“Being named a Best Place to Work in our company’s hometown is an incredible honor,” said Adam Miller, founder and CEO of Cornerstone OnDemand. “This recognition further affirms our longtime belief that putting employees at the center strengthens the business and creates a workplace worth being a part of for the long run. I’d like to thank our employees for making Cornerstone a great place to work since the beginning of our journey as a Santa Monica startup nearly fifteen years ago.”
To be considered for Los Angeles Business Journal’s Best Places to Work list, companies from across Los Angeles County entered a two-part survey process. The first part, worth 25 percent of the total score, consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part, worth 75 percent, consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final rankings. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process in Los Angeles, analyzed the data and determined the final rankings. Companies also needed to have at least fifteen employees in a Los Angeles office to be considered for the list.
