NSPCC Selects Cornerstone OnDemand to Deliver Personalised Learning and Development
LONDON; 22 April 2014: Cornerstone OnDemand (NASDAQ: CSOD) today announced that the company’s unified, cloud-based talent management software solution has been selected by the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC). The nonprofit will use Cornerstone’s applications for learning and development, performance management and succession planning to manage and develop its entire workforce of 2,000 people, helping the charity further harness the power of its people to aid in protecting children and preventing abuse. The NSPCC has also purchased Cornerstone Extended Enterprise to share and sell any of the nonprofit’s learning materials to third-party organisations.
The NSPCC will use Cornerstone’s solutions to deliver a personalised learning experience tailored for each user’s particular job role and career aspirations. This will streamline the time spent on learning and reduce time away from the job. Through Cornerstone’s extended enterprise application, the NSPCC will have the ability to launch a portal that allows other organisations to buy its training or learning materials, creating additional revenue for the charity.
The contract was won through a competitive tender. However, cost and functionality were not the only deciding factors. Cornerstone’s employee culture and work through its Cornerstone OnDemand Foundation also played a decisive role. With a mission to transform the way people help people, the Foundation supports organizations around the world in better developing, engaging and empowering their employees and the people they serve by offering Cornerstone’s software and the Foundation’s capacity-building programs to nonprofits.
Siobhan Sheridan, HR director at the NSPCC, said, “Our people are absolutely pivotal to our mission of ending cruelty to children. Enabling them to be as effective as possible each and every moment of every day is critical. We have to ensure that we have the right people to deliver this highly important work. Our approach to recruiting, managing and developing the most talented and highly skilled workforce possible is therefore right at the top of our agenda. We are delighted to work with Cornerstone and use their system to help our people best support the needs of young people and families across the country.”
Vincent Belliveau, senior vice president and general manager, EMEA, for Cornerstone OnDemand, said, “Working with nonprofit organisations like the NSPCC is very important to Cornerstone, as we not only value the important work they do, but we also want to make it possible for them to do more of it. We have a wealth of experience in helping organisations unlock the expertise and knowledge within their workforce, and therefore we want to help nonprofits do the same, helping them to have a greater impact on society and the people they are supporting.”
