Cornerstone OnDemand Introduces New Cloud Offerings, Transforming the Delivery of Integrated Talent Management Solutions
Cornerstone’s organic, solutions-focused approach is designed to simplify and enhance the way companies buy, deploy and recognize value in their talent management systems
SANTA MONICA, Calif. – October 3, 2011 – Cornerstone OnDemand (NASDAQ: CSOD) today introduced new solutions-focused, cloud-bundled product offerings designed to simplify and enhance the way companies buy, deploy and recognize value in their integrated talent management software solutions. Cornerstone will offer the most comprehensive talent management software-as-a-service (SaaS) suite, which includes the Cornerstone Performance Cloud, Cornerstone Learning Cloud, Cornerstone Extended Enterprise Cloud and the Cornerstone Recruiting Cloud, with anticipated general availability in early 2012.
“Global businesses are increasingly demanding integrated talent management solutions, which we have organically developed from the ground up in collaboration with our clients,” said Adam Miller, president and CEO of Cornerstone OnDemand. “The bundling of our comprehensive product offerings ultimately makes it easier for organizations to buy the learning and talent solutions they need and in a more strategic, prescriptive and consistent way versus a complex and commoditized supermarket approach.”
Cornerstone is already witnessing the migration to “suite-based” purchases of its software among its client base, indicating that the cloud-bundled offerings can address the needs of all companies today – whether it is an organization just getting started in talent management or a company with well-established talent practices requiring a complete talent management solution.
“Selecting technology on a feature-function basis to meet a specific capability can severely diminish an organization’s ability to address the business challenges associated with the end-to-end talent life cycle,” said Lisa Rowan, program director, HR, learning and talent strategies, for industry analyst firm IDC. “Each talent process, such as assessing an employee for promotion or providing training to improve performance, does not tie to one single module. Talent management is a series of interrelated processes, and selling features and functions in tighter bundled solutions can help buyers and suppliers move to a more strategic view.”
With the anticipated launch of the Recruiting Cloud, Cornerstone will become the only technology vendor to offer a complete, organically developed, talent management SaaS suite. This makes Cornerstone’s software faster to deploy and easier to scale over time compared to on-premise systems or “Franken-suites” that have been cobbled together through vendor consolidations and acquisitions.
Features and functionality included in each cloud-bundled solution include:
- Cornerstone Recruiting Cloud, designed to include solutions for sourcing, recruiting, hiring and onboarding new employees.
- Cornerstone Performance Cloud, with solutions for goal alignment, performance reviews, competency assessments, compensation management, development planning, succession planning, talent pooling and career management.
- Cornerstone Learning Cloud, with solutions for e-learning, instructor-led training administration, virtual classrooms, learning content management, enterprise social networking and compliance management.
- Cornerstone Extended Enterprise Cloud, including training, certification and collaboration functionality for enabling and engaging extended networks of customers, partners, contractors and association members.
Each cloud-bundled solution will consist of four tiers, including Group, Professional, Enterprise and Total, based on a buyer’s specific needs. Cornerstone’s comprehensive reporting and analytics tools will be available across all of the cloud solutions.
Cornerstone (booth no. 505) will showcase its talent management software suite at the 2011 HR Technology Conference & Expo, October 3-4 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Cornerstone president and CEO, Adam Miller also will discuss the benefits of taking an integrated technology approach to talent management during the conference session, “TM3: Learn from Liberty Mutual: Grizzled Veteran of Talent Management,” scheduled for Tuesday, October 4 at 11 a.m. PDT in room Islander B.
