Cornerstone OnDemand and Logica to Host Nordics Learning and Talent Management Event

Leading talent management industry analyst Josh Bersin and other experts to examine value of talent management for maximising performance of Swedish organisations

LONDON November 16, 2011 – Learning and talent management software provider Cornerstone OnDemand (NASDAQ: CSOD) today announced that the company is hosting an exclusive business breakfast briefing with business and technology services firm Logica in Scandinavia for senior learning and HR executives on Monday, 21 November at 8.30 a.m. The event will take place at Logica headquarters, Augustendalsvagen 21, Nacka Strand, Sweden.

The half day complimentary event will feature a lineup of experts who will examine a range of learning, performance and talent management issues that are facing Swedish organisations. They also will share workable strategies that can be undertaken within private and public sector organisations. Speakers will include Josh Bersin, CEO and president of leading industry analyst firm Bersin & Associates; Jan Sundberg, director of talent acquisition and management for Logica Sweden; and Vincent Belliveau, senior vice president and general manager, EMEA for Cornerstone OnDemand.

“As our research demonstrates, talent management can be a valuable strategy in maximising business performance. The concept of managing talent is not new, but ideas about who is responsible for managing talent and how to manage it to drive business impact are evolving,” said Bersin. “What this means to organisations is that they must move beyond the strategic HR function into one that is fully integrated with the business units. True talent management requires integrating various talent processes – from talent acquisition and learning and development, to performance management and succession planning. However, effective talent management does not happen overnight. Companies must prioritise their talent management efforts, develop a solid strategy that is aligned with the business, and support it with best practices to make it happen.”

Added Belliveau, “Our special briefing will help senior executives to take a fresh look at what they are doing with their learning and talent management strategies and examine how that might be improved in line with the organisation’s objectives. Equally, our discussion will help executives understand how learning and talent management technology can actively help to generate an improvement in business results during a period of low economic growth.”
