In Mumbai today, SHRM India hosted a CHRO Roundtable around the topic "Is your organization realizing it’s true potential: Is your talent strategy a facilitator or a road block?" Good questions, both.
The conference was focused on addressing the notion (and one you've heard a fair amount about here on this blog) the fact that learning strategies hold the key to organizations' talent and business goals. Participants included bigt thinkers from companies like Tata, Edelweiss, Reliance ADA Group, Emerson Process Management, and others.
The keynote was delivered by our CEO Adam Miller, who discussed the evolution of talent management and its current relevance across global economies and sectors. He emphasized on the increasing need for organizations to identify, develop and retain talent and how technology can be an enabler in achieving business goals more effectively. Adam also spoke about significance of transparency while assessing performance of employees. Here is the stream from that address today:

New Zealand’s most popular pet care brand and leading pet company, Animates and Animates Vetcare, has been in the market for more than 20 years, growing its operations to 45 stores, 28 grooming salons and almost 20 vet clinics. It employs more than 900 people including veterinary professionals, groomers and specialist full-time and casual retailers. Animates continues to grow at a strong pace, even through economic challenges, as they help people do what is best for their pets and their wallets. Animates’ HR toolkit, including their recruitment process and L&D, was not keeping pace with the accelerated growth of the business.
