Grant Thornton Selects Cornerstone OnDemand to Enable Employee Development and Progression

London, England; 11 March 2014: Cornerstone OnDemand (NASDAQ: CSOD), a global leader in cloud-based talent management software solutions, has been selected by Grant Thornton UK LLP, the firm of financial and business advisers, to provide learning and development applications to its UK workforce of almost 4,500 people, forming a key part of the firm’s strategy to develop people and skills. The Cornerstone Learning Cloud will provide the platform to manage Grant Thornton’s CPE (Continuing Professional Education) and firm-wide learning, as well as enabling better management of ongoing career development and progression. The deployment is expected to go live in June 2014.

As an integrated component of the firm’s end-to-end management of talent, the Cornerstone Learning Cloud will enable Grant Thornton to proactively administer people and skills development on both a “push” (compliance and firm-driven learning) and “pull” (employee and manager-desired learning) basis, as well as provide efficiencies in the delivery of blended learning.

“We’re always looking for innovative ways to attract, manage, develop and retain the best people in our industry. At the same time, we need to meet our obligations to the industry by achieving the required levels of CPE accreditation, ensuring we are operating consistently and that we meet our compliance obligations. Our integrated solution is key in underpinning our talent strategy, ensuring all of our people receive the best training and tools to achieve their potential,” said Sacha Romanovitch, Partner, People and Skills, Grant Thornton.

The Learning Cloud will use the standard integration connector with Grant Thornton UK’s new core HRIS solution, ensuring that talent processes and data deliver a consistent and easily adopted experience for users across all levels of the organization.

Romanovitch continued, “Cornerstone was a clear choice for us because of its expertise in learning and talent development. The Cornerstone team also demonstrated the level of partnership for implementation and delivery that we expect and need from our solution providers, especially from our SaaS providers.”

Greg Swift, national IT director, Grant Thornton added, “As we move towards a new core HRIS, selecting a strong and integrated learning solution was key. Specifically a true SaaS platform is important to us because it has a demonstrably lower total cost of ownership and will ensure that we’re always using the latest version. The delivery model also ensures we can collaborate with support, development and the thousands of experts in the Cornerstone client community, with all of us using the latest version and the same infrastructure. Cornerstone will provide this as well as enabling the personalisation and branding of the user interface through configuration so that the whole staff learning and development experience will have the Grant Thornton look and feel. We believe this will be key in gaining adoption from users and achieving strong ROI.”

“We’re delighted to be working with Grant Thornton,” commented Vincent Belliveau, SVP and General Manager, EMEA, Cornerstone OnDemand. “Learning and development is a key component for any organisation’s talent management strategy. When industry certification and firm-wide operational consistency are also essential, it becomes even more important to have a capable, but simply delivered, technology foundation.”
