University of Tennessee Selects Cornerstone OnDemand to Align and Extend Learning Initiatives

SANTA MONICA, Calif. — Feb. 27, 2018 Cornerstone OnDemand (NASDAQ: CSOD), a global leader in cloud-based learning and human capital management software, today announced that the University of Tennessee (UT) System has selected the company’s learning and extended enterprise solutions to provide crucial training for its faculty and staff across six campuses and institutes, as well as certification programs for external stakeholders.

Founded in 1794 as the first public university chartered west of the Appalachian Divide, the University’s three-part mission is to provide education, conduct research and deliver outreach. With the flagship campus UT Knoxville’s ambitious goal of becoming a Top 25 public research university by 2020, the UT System sought a partner that could provide a modern, top-tier learning solution to support its current and future initiatives.

The UT System signed on with Cornerstone in the first quarter of 2017 and has already seen positive results since implementation. Cornerstone’s Learning Suite is now available to more than 15,000 internal users, including faculty and staff. Having one learning management system has helped to unify the UT System’s learning initiatives across its network, which includes campuses in Knoxville, Chattanooga, Martin and Memphis, as well as the statewide Institute of Agriculture and the Institute for Public Service. For employee compliance training, the UT System has already seen a 670 percent increase from the previous year.

The UT System also extends Cornerstone Learning to more than 8,000 external stakeholders, providing certification programs for farmers, law enforcement personnel, local and state governments, and the general public.

The UT System joins Cornerstone’s growing community of higher education clients, including the University of Southern California, Ohio State University, the University of Georgia, Boston College, Sam Houston State University, Valencia College, Full Sail University and Alamo Colleges, among others.
