Our commitment

Cornerstone OnDemand, Inc. (“Cornerstone”)’s purpose is to power the potential of people and organizations to thrive in a changing world. For people and organizations to thrive, digital experiences must be usable by as many people as possible – with or without disabilities. Everyone deserves access to quality education and skill-building opportunities to future-proof our careers.

Cornerstone knows that good accessibility benefits everyone and strives to deliver accessible products in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2, level AA criteria.

Cornerstone provides accessibility conformance reports (ACRs) in the form of Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates® (VPATs®) for individual products. If you need a VPAT® for a specific product, please get in touch.

Configuration

The Cornerstone platform is configurable by customers. Customers are responsible to maintain accessibility conformance with any configurations they do, such as color contrast, alt text, etc. If a defect is reported to Cornerstone, but is found to be due to customer configuration, the customer will be responsible for remediating the defect to maintain accessibility conformance.

A Black woman sitting on a couch speaks with a neutral expression while the three others (a South Asian person sitting in a wheelchair and taking notes, a Black non-binary person sitting in a chair with a tablet and cane, and a Black non-binary person standing with a clipboard) listen.

Assessment and remediation approach

Cornerstone’s accessibility assessment is an ongoing cycle, not a one-time report. The company conducts annual accessibility audits via third-party accessibility vendors and provides accessibility conformance reports in the form of a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template® (VPAT®).

Evaluation assessments incorporate a variety of measures, which may include (i) conducting automated testing using a variety of proprietary and external tools, (ii) performing inspection and manual testing with a keyboard and adaptive technologies, such as screen readers and speech recognition software, and (iii) testing by people with disabilities.

Subsequent remediation roadmaps developed after audit findings are risk-based; issues that have a significant impact on usability or cause significant barriers are prioritized to help ensure users can access core functionality. Defect remediation is released via patches (off-cycle releases) and during the three major releases that happen in March, July, and November.
