Who Cares About the Employee Experience?

Nonprofit page hero

Listen in below as Mr. Employee Experience, Ben Whitter explores who in the organisation should care about the employee experience and why it matters today more than ever. Ben will also share the findings of our early 2023 employee experience polls.

The employee experience - from onboarding, to learning and career progression, to general wellbeing - has become critical for organisations around the world in the fight to retain and attract great talent. Never before has there been such visibility into how organisations treat their employees. From websites like glass door, to open forums such as LinkedIn and Twitter, the world will hear about negative employee experiences. But who is involved in creating a good employee experience, what is the impact and what are the current trends in this area?

To get the most out of your employees, you need to get them more engaged - at every stage of their journey. Studies show that employee engagement is an outcome of employee experience. Companies that score in the top 25% on employee experience report nearly 3 times the return on assets, and more than 2 times the return on sales, compared to organisations in the bottom quartile. It’s safe to say that employee experience impacts the bottom line.

“Experience is everything. From pre-hire to retire, using the experience as a lens, we can maximise all the interactions an individual has with an employer over the long-term to create a deep sense of belonging and co-create high performance and stronger business outcomes.”
