With just one day until National Hockey League (NHL) teams across the country will take the ice for the start of the long-awaited 2013 season, we’re proud to announce our sponsorship of a true Los Angeles powerhouse, the Los Angeles Kings. As the reigning Stanley Cup Champions, the LA Kings are certainly an example of how individuals working together around a centralized goal can achieve great things. At Cornerstone, we strive to build and nurture high-performing teams every day, and it is an incredible opportunity to support a fellow Los Angeles-based group doing the same in the world of sports.
In our first-ever sports sponsorship, we’ll support the LA Kings as they attempt to become the first team since the 1998 Detroit Red Wings to repeat as Stanley Cup Champions. During the Kings’ 24 home games this season, expect to see Cornerstone’s branding displayed on electronic signage throughout the Staples Center. We also will be the primary sponsor during overtime, which includes complete signage around the arena, as well as new virtual signage on the plexiglass behind the goals that will be viewable on TV during the Fox Sports broadcast.
Our sponsorship of the Kings is yet another way we’re seeking to get more involved in the community and raise our profile in Los Angeles. In the past year, we’ve had Cornerstars run in the LA Marathon in support of local disaster relief agency Operation USA, and we’ve raised money for in support of Movember and men’s health. We’ve also sponsored and spoken at several local tech events. And we took to the streets of Los Angeles to recruit new employees – and increase brand awareness – via a 6-month billboard ad campaign. Expect to see more activities like this come from our team in 2013 and beyond.
We look forward to seeing all you fans out on the ice, and we wish the Los Angeles Kings the best of luck during the 2013 season.
