2023 UK HR and Talent Mobility Survey
Cornerstone undertook a short HR and Talent Mobility survey in March and April 2023 with 207 UK-based, HR Magazine readers. This report shows the results of the survey.
Key takeaways
Recruitment and retention continue to be the biggest challenges facing UK HR Teams with 50% of respondents saying employee retention was one of their biggest challenges.
About 75% of organisations seem to be using performance reviews and check-ins as a time to check in on career development wishes not just performance. This is an interesting development as it enables organisations to tie skill development and learning into performance improvements.
Career mobility is in the hands of managers in 50% of the organisations surveyed, meaning that employees must ask their managers before applying for other internal roles. This leaves employees open to talent hoarding by
insecure managers and could stop people from wanting to explore additional opportunities within the business.
