Technology application user interface, or UI, matters more than ever now that employees are bringing their consumer devices to work. In a self-service and highly connected world, old school technology just doesn’t do anything for end-users nor do they choose to use it. Today, employees want and expect more, and a bad UI will kill adoption of your technology investment.
Researching and working with our clients on user experience principles, we’ve discovered that end-user experience of software is not features-based, it is workflow-based. Employees are creating goals, taking courses, sharing files, collaborating on teams, and getting their hands dirty with software on a daily basis. Their activities are action-oriented. They are less concerned with the behind-the-scenes functionality, and more concerned with whether or not the software solution is helping them be more productive throughout the day or providing the insight necessary. With the June 2014 Product Release, we’ve made yet another round of consumerization updates to our application in two of the most popular functional areas.
Here are some highlights from the June 2014 Product Release:
Faster Performance Reviews- Employees and managers should be able to complete goals and reviews in the most simple and streamlined way. Our new redesign of the reviews page makes the process much easier with fewer clicks and beautifully balanced.
Improved Learning Transcripts- Whether you are delivering required trainings or providing the opportunity for your employees to take developmental courses, our learning transcript makes courses much more marketable and accessible.
We believe that enterprise applications should deeply engage people, not just solve business problems. That’s why Cornerstone OnDemand works like your employee’s favorite consumer apps and websites. We deliver the industry’s most intuitive, informative, and simplest user experience whether you’re on a desktop, tablet, or a mobile device. Consumerization should be the new standard for organizations wanting their employees to actually utilize their software investment and improve adoption at all levels.
