National Women’s Health & Fitness Day: A Conversation on Agility in Life and Work

In celebration of National Women’s Health & Fitness Day, Cornerstone brought together two elite athletes: Sloane Stephens, Grand Slam tennis champion, and Melissa Stockwell, 4x Paralympian and Army veteran, for a dynamic conversation on what it truly means to be agile. Hosted by Carina Cortez, Chief People Officer at Cornerstone, the discussion highlighted personal stories of physical and mental resilience, how they adapted through career highs and setbacks, and what kept them motivated to push forward.

Together, they explored the link between personal wellness, professional growth, and how “the way work works” is evolving, especially for women. From fitness routines to mindset shifts, from overcoming adversity to redefining success, the conversation was a powerful reminder that agility is more than movement. It is a mindset. And it is what helps us thrive on the court, in the workplace, and beyond.
